Privacy policy

Last updated: August 2026

This site is run by The Cottage Kitchen Table and publishing under Guava Tree Press. This page explains what information is collected when you visit, why, and what you can do about it.

What is collected

If you sign up for recipes: Your email address, and your first name if you give it. That’s it. It’s stored with EmailOctopus, the service used to send the newsletter.

If you buy a book: The purchase is handled by Payhip or by Amazon. Your payment details go to them, never to this site. I never see or store your card information.

If you just read: Basic anonymous statistics about which pages are visited, so I know which recipes people find useful. No personal profile is built from this.

How it’s used

Your email address is used to send you the free recipes you asked for, and occasional emails with new recipes and news about the cookbooks. Nothing else. Your details are never sold, rented or passed to anyone for marketing.

Services used

  • EmailOctopus: Stores the mailing list and sends the newsletter.
  • Payhip: Handles PDF sales and delivery.
  • Amazon: Sells the paperback and Kindle editions. Following a link there means Amazon’s own privacy policy applies.
  • Hostinger and Cloudflare: Host the site and keep it online and secure.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies needed to make it work properly and to count visits anonymously. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will still work.

Your choices

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one click removes you. You can also ask to see what information is held about you, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted entirely. Just write to me and I’ll do it.

Children

This site isn’t aimed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
